Shuttle fleet operations are continuing to evolve. New vehicle types, alternative fuel options, and a changing regulatory environment, mean shuttle operators have more choices – and more obligations – than ever before.
This informative webinar will be a case-study on San Diego Airport Parking Company's (SDAP) approach to feet management. It will examine their current fleet of vehicles and explain how policies led the transition from fossil burning fuel shuttles to Low NOx cleaner burning fuels and recently to 100% zero tail pipe emissions all electric shuttles. 100% of SDAP’s fleet will be electric by 2020. SDAP has installed over 15 EV charging units on site including both Level-2 for EV customer charging and DC fast charging for it's EV fleet and has participated and taken advantage of subsidies to support the transition toward Electric. SDAP was the first fleet to drive electric shuttles at an airport in California and recently finished implementation of San Diego Gas and Electric Utility's first installation of DC fast charging infrastructure at a site. Learn how to take the steps to drive Electric, ask questions and get answers that can help you plan and understand the challenges, the cost and the new role that fleet managers must implement to ensure the EV fleet can stay on the road the same as your fossil burning vehicles.
This is a one-hour session with 45-50 minutes of presentation and remaining 10-15 minutes for interactive Q&A with attendees.
